Rs. 25 lakhs each for the families of Dr. Vandana Das and J.S.Ranjith
It was decided to sanction Rs.25 lakhs from Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund to Dr.Vandana Das, who was stabbed to death while delivering her duty at Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital.
A financial assistance of Rs.25 lakhs from the Medical Services Corporation Fund will be sanctioned to the family of late J S Ranjith, the Fire & Rescue Officer, who was killed while dousing the fire erupted at the KINFRA Park, Thiruvanthapuram.
It was decided to sanction financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakhs to N.K.Shaibi, W/o late S R Rajeshkumar, who was killed after falling into water tank while working as temporary pump operator at the Kavalipuzha pump house under the Kaduthuruthy sub division of Kerala Water Authority.
Service of experts in sign language
The service of sign language experts shall be used in important programmes of Government of Kerala. Their services shall be used in the major programmes in which Governor, Chief Minister or Ministers will be attending.
The service of such experts can be availed by various departments in which people with hearing impairment are taking part in large numbers. An honorarium of Rs.1000/- per hour shall be paid to such experts.
Trawling ban
The notification will be issued to ban trawling for 52 days in the Kerala coast from 10th June to 31st July 2023 (9th June midnight to 31 July midnight).
Amendment in the guidelines for Kerala Puraskaaram
It was decided to amend the guidelines related to Kerala Puraskaaram, which is instituted for persons who had made significant contributions in various sectors in the state.
Permission will be given to the primary screening committee, secondary screening committee and award committee to function as search committees as well. The committees can be entrusted with the responsibility of nominating appropriate persons for the awards, if needed. .
The persons who have already received Padma awards (Padma Vibhushan/ Padma Bhushan/ Padma Shri) won’t be considered for Kerala awards. The Indian citizens who have been staying in the Kerala will be considered for the awards.
Draft directives approved
It was decided to approve the draft directives issued by the department of Scheduled Casts/ Scheduled Tribes for acquiring and providing private land to the landless people from SC /ST communities through the respective gram panchayats.
Issuance of alternate land
It was decided to issue land to the St.Antony’s School, Valiyathura, Thiruvananthapuram in lieu of the 36.752 land handed over by the school for implementing ‘Punargeaham’ project to construct for the landless fishermen.
The school will be given 27.61 cents of land under the survey number 1790/C11 in Pettah village, Thiruvananthapuram
Amendments will be made in the Private Industrial Estate Scheme
Amendments will be made in the Private Industrial Estate Scheme to make the development process of private industrial estates more industry-savvy. The amendment is brought towards realising more industrial units and employment opportunities in the state.
Revision of pay& emoluments
It was decided to implement revision of pay & emoluments to the permanent employees of Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environment Centre as recommended by the 11th Pay Commission, subject to the norms regarding this.
