Special section for Commerce under Industries department
A special section will be established for Commerce in the Industries Department at Secretariat and a separate Commerce division will be set up in the Directorate of Commerce. The objective is to extend due importance to the commerce sector in the state. The decision in this regard has been taken after considering the demand raised by various industry bodies during the Nava Kerala Sadas.

LIFE residential complex: Renewal of administrative sanction
Renewed administrative sanction was extended for constructing LIFE residential complex in Poovachal gram panchayat in Thiruvananthapuram district. The complex consists of 112 houses and 2 anganwadis. The land for the complex was donated by Sukumaran Vaidyan.

Whetted
The decision taken to revamp the State Planning Board was whetted. The revamping was conducted on 8th January by inducting K.B.Ganeshkumar-Minister for Transport & Registration and Ramachandran Kadannapply-Minister for Museum, Archaeology& Archives.

Yearly income limit hiked
The yearly income limit for sanctioning continuation of freedom fighters’ pension was increased from the existing Rs.24000/- to Rs.48,000/-.

Tender approved
It was decided to approve the tender for constructing Pettah-Anayara-Oruvathilkotta road in Thiruvananthapuram district by relaxing the existing criteria.

Road side amenity center
2.2 hectares of land was allotted to Overseas Keralites Investment and Holdings Limited in Thalappady, Kasargod to construct a road side amenities center.

Permission to sign MoU
Permission was extended to sign MoU for implementing a joint project with NBCC (India) Ltd in the Kerala State Housing Board land in Marine Drive, Kochi. The permission was extended to the Secretary, Housing Board. The project consists of the amenities such as commercial complex, residential complex and eco-friendly parks.
