Adalats under the leadership of Ministers

Adalats will be organised at taluk level under the leadership of ministers towards resolving the grievances of general public. Adalats are scheduled in the months of December 2024 and January 2025.

Subjects to be covered in the Panchayat:-

Land related matters (property mutation, fixation of boundary, unauthorised constructions, land grabbing, boundary related issues, blockage of ways)

Delay in issuing certificates/licenses or rejection

Matters related to construction of buildings (building number, tax)

Protection of senior citizens

Various benefits of scheduled castes-scheduled tribes

Matters related to fishermen

Rehabilitation, pension & such other issues of physically/mentally/intellectually challenged

Pollution/treating of waste

Protection of public water bodies, drinking water

Ration card – APL/BPL (for health care related requirements)

Procurement and marketing of agriculture crops, crop insurance and other issues related to agriculture sector

Compensation/assistance for domestic animals and allied issues related to the sector

Food safety related matters

Clearances for industrial ventures

Issues related to institutions in health sector

Protection from wild animal attacks/compensation

Complaints/applications of various scholarships

Wetland protection

Felling of trees which are life threatening

Issues related to endosulfan affected

Compensation for natural disasters

Issues/subjects/suggestions which are not considering

Application for jobs/issues related to PSC

District collectors were given responsibility of conducting and organising of adalats. Chief Secretary was asked to issue the detailed guidelines required for organising adalats.

The government is giving ample importance to resolve the complaints of general public. In view of this, adalats had been organised at various levels. As part of the 2d anniversary of the government, complaint redessal adalats called ‘Karuthalum Kaithaangum’ were organised under the leadership of ministers in Taluk headquarters in the months of April & May 2023. The forthcoming adalats are scheduled in continuance to this.

Project Management Unit

The cabinet has given permission to establish a project management unit based at Thiruvanathapuram for KERA (Kerala Climate Resilient Agri-Value Chain Modernization) project. Three regional project management units will be established at Kottayam, Thrissur and Kannur districts. Four project implementation units will be established at Kerala Agricultural University, Industrial Directorate under department of Industry & Commerce, Plantation Directorate, Kerala Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) and Kerala Start Up Mission.

Fourteen new posts will be created in the state project management unit. Fifteen posts in three regional project management units and 7 posts in three project implementation units will also be created. The appointments will be done on deputation basis.

Tender approved

Tender for the construction of Kulathupuzha Sreeshastha-Ambalakadavu Bridge Across Kallada River In Punalur Constituency, Kollam district, was approved.

Tender for the Venjarammoodu over bridge, Thiruvanathapuram was approved.

Tender of the general civil work for Thiruvanathapuram Kaithamukku-Pettah, St.Xavior’s Junction-Valiyathura, Gandhi park circle, Kalpakadav-Chakkai, Eanchakkal-Puthan road junction-Ponnara palam road, Sewage farm, Vidya garden, Airport-Shreelanthimukku road, Eanchakkal-Kanjiravilakam, Kaithamukku temple junction-West fort, Passport office-Irumbpalam-Thengapura-Kavaradi and Vallakadav-Aaraatt gate, was approved.

Draft approved

The draft Kerala Sports Amendment Bill 2024, was approved.

Financial assistance

Rs.5 lakhs will be sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund to the three children of Mohammad Ashraf-Sajida couple who were killed in a road accident in Melmuri Muttipadi, Malappuram district. All eligible benefits will be extended to the children, who are minors by including under appropriate projects under the women & child development department.
